MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS (MIS) MANAGER

Role Details

  • Ensures day-to-day MIS operation and help desk activities are carried out in a timely and reliable manner
  • Monitor, configure and maintain network connectivity within the organization’s server system, including active directory, email, firewall and all network related infrastructure
  • Developing and implementing the first line of defense against critical malfunctions through creating consistent schedules for updates and functionality tests
  • Responsible for ensuring data security and ensure system/data backup are performed
  • To support ERP system issue and reporting, withproficiency database management skill
  • Routine verification and review of MIS/IT Policy and standard operating procedure (SOP)
  • Plan for disaster recovery with good monitoring, implementation and support
  • To co-ordinate any MIS/IT Project from time-to-time assigned by the Management

Requirements

  • Possess Diploma/Bachelor Degree’s in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in MIS function
  • Has working knowledge in MIS/IT infrastructure, SQL database and able to support an ERP system
  • Good critical thinking and analysis skills to troubleshoot issues with software, hardware, networks and databases
  • Possesses complex problem-solving skills and be able to work through issues by which they are stumped
  • Ability to manage a lean MIS team and work with vendors 
  • Good sense of responsibility and urgency to deal with critical issue which requires immediately attention
  • Good command English and Bahasa Malaysia, ability to converse in Mandarin is an added advantage to deal with vendors

Terms of the Role

  • This is a one year contractual role, with potential for yearly renewals
  • Monthly Base Salary is based on mutual discussion depending on the candidate’s past experience and skill
  • Package includes out-patient medical benefits and annual leave aligned to company policy; EPF & Socso as per statutory requirements 
  • Work days: 5 days in a week + half day of working on 1st Saturday of the month (9am to 1pm)
  • Work location: Shah Alam
