Our Client, a growing manufacturing company, is seeking to hire a Human Resources Director on a one year contract, of which at least 6 months will be based in Senai

The Role

The successful candidate is expected to be a high impact contributor to HR strategies and processes that support the company’s business objectives. He/ She will have overall responsibility for the development, implementation and administration of policies and processes for staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee development and training, and organizational development, to meet business objectives in compliance with corporate philosophy/ values and regulatory/ statutory requirements

Job Description

  1. Lead the development, implementation, management, and execution of HR strategies, systems, and programs/ initiatives
  2. Provide competitive and sustainable talent and organisational effectiveness solutions to support business objectives
  3. Ensure that policies, procedures, plans, processes, and budgets within the scope of HR are aligned to the Company’s values and comply with regulatory requirements
  4. Work in consultation with heads of operations and business units to cultivate a talent mindset to attract. develop and systematically manage talent processes and initiatives such as training, performance management, career development, retention and succession plans
  5. Establish clear lines of consistent communication and reports
  6. Provide strategic and functional leadership to the HR Team
  7. Ensure reliable and high HR service delivery standards consistent with best practices
  8. Provide accurate and relevant reports/ advice to help Management make informed and timely decisions, to mitigate/ resolve risks, and ensure overall organization wellbeing


  1. Experience as HR Director in a progressive manufacturing environment
  2. Excellent knowledge of employment laws, legislations and regulations
  3. Good knowledge of current human resource management principles and best practices
  4. Able to build influential relationships with stakeholders across organizational lines
  5. Demonstrates good business acumen with excellent leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
